Welcome
The Chamber’s mission is to improve the economic climate by promoting area communities as a place for businesses to locate, grow, and prosper as well as an appealing place to visit, live, and work.
West Central Chamber Annual Dinner
The WCC Annual Dinner is 6 p.m., November 19, 2009, at the historic
Hotel Attica. The annual event features a silent auction and
a live auction by John Kuipers. There will be some great bargains
available for your holiday shopping! Contact
Chamber Coordinator Jami White for
information.
Chamber Ringing for Salvation Army
WC Chamber will be ringing bells for the local Salvation Army
this holiday season. The Warren County Salvation Army Service
Unit was established in 2006; Warren County was the last county
in Indiana to have a service unit. Our service unit also includes
Attica. All donations gathered in our area are spent here
to help families in need; in the past twelve months our service
unit has helped 59 families. Services include emergency assistance
with rent, food, utilities, transportation and other immediate
needs. Funds also support Tools for School (backpacks with
school supplies for local elementary and middle school students);
League of Mercy (nursing home visits); camp scholarships to
Hidden Falls Camp; and free Thanksgiving dinner serving around
100 people.
If you would like to help the Salvation Army, you can make a donation of cash by dropping money in the red kettle. Bell ringers are also needed, starting November 14; call Jami White at 762-6767 if you would like to join other Chamber members who will be jingling. If your business would like to commit to gathering your employees to help ring bells, contact Deb Trueblood, 385-0167.
Remember, when you drop money in that familiar red kettle, your donation is helping someone in your own community.
E-Mail Newsletter Launch Set for January
The Chamber will begin publishing a new e-mail newsletter starting
January 2010. The publication will feature the activities of
Chamber member businesses and meetings, workshops and events
sponsored by the Chamber. As well as informing members, the
e-newsletter will be an effective tool to promote the West
Central Chamber and the businesses that support the organization.
