Coffee House

The Williamsport United Methodist Church is hosting regular coffee house meetings on Sundays beginning at 5 pm. Come as you are and enjoy live music from area groups including Cary'd Away. The menu includes soup and sandwiches, along with regular and flavored fresh-brewed coffee. Pastor Cathy McCoy says everyone is welcome and "we're really hoping to reach people who don't have a church home."

Community of Regional Resources is a group of businesses in Benton, Warren, Fountain and Newton counties that is dedicated to improving the business atmosphere in our region. The group is open to anyone interested in learning more about the regional business environment. At each meeting there is a guest business speaker, a member business speaker and a program on a pertinent business topic. Meetings rotate between locations in the four counties. There is no charge to attend the meeting.

The West Central Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar at the Learning Center, Williamsport-Washington Twp. Library, on Wednesday, March 31, 5-6:30 p.m. Susan Davis, Hoosier Heartland Small Business Development Center, will present "Business Survival in a Tough Economy.” The program is free for Chamber members, $25 for non-members. See the Remnant Trust

An exhibit of important artifacts is on display to the public at Ivy Tech Community College at 3101 Creasy Lane, Lafayette. People of all ages now may get up close to a 1776 printing of the Declaration of Independence plus thirty-eight original and first editions of historical documents and writings in a display at the Tippecanoe County/Ivy Tech Library on the Ivy Tech campus.
